HEAD COACH: GINA FIFER
ASSISTANT COACH: MIKE STURDAVANT, BOB FIFER
Gina Fifer starting playing at the young age of 7 at VGSA as a tee baller and continued through her high school years. Gina started studying pitching at the age of 8 and continued under the guidance of Joanne English who played at Sacramento State. Her team won the Chuck Bell, played at State, and regionals. Gina has been coaching for the last few years and mentors young girls by giving pitching lessons and enjoys seeing girls succeed in a sport she loves.
Mike Sturdevant starting umpiring at the age of 15 and is the current UIC at VGSA. He has been to many National tournaments umpiring and has umpired at the college level. Mike started coaching at the age of 27 when his daughters played and along with umpiring has been involved in the game for over 35 years.
Bob Fifer has been involved with the sport for over 37 years coaching several teams. Bob has many years of batting experience studying and staying current on techniques. He comes with many years of knowledge and experience of the game.
